OBSCURITIES
OBSCURITIES is the culminating presentation of a new body of work by visual artist Parsa Afsharjavan, developed over an eight-week residency as the inaugural Artist in Residence for NOOK, a program by award winning creative agency, THIS JANUARY.
The exhibition, recognized by Transformer Dc & The Goethe-Institute, features a series of six sculptural works and two functional objects, exploring ambiguity through material, surface, and form. Created using industrial processes and painterly techniques, the works exist between painting and object.. resisting immediate clarity and inviting slow, intuitive engagement. Developed within the constraints of an active workspace, OBSCURITIES reflects a process shaped by adaptation, restraint, and focus. Each piece contributes to a larger study on how meaning is constructed over time, not through explanation, but through accumulation and presence.
